Musch Trail to Eagle Rock

Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/musch-trail-to-eagle-rock-tickets-97624201615

Password: pdahike

WHEN: Saturday, March 28th;

WHERE: The hike starts at Trippet Ranch which is actually a state park; 20828 Entrada Rd, Topanga, CA 90290

DIRECTIONS: Take the PCH towards Malibu then turn right onto Topanga Canyon Blvd and then another right on Entrada; If using GPS, you only need to enter ‘Trippet Ranch’

PARKING: There is parking at the ranch/state park which costs $10 for the day. There is also free parking along the road before you enter the park.

DISTANCE/DURATION: 4.5 mile loop that takes roughly 3 hours

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Easy to moderate

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: I highly recommend bringing at least 32oz of water. You do not need hiking boots but definitely comfortable running shoes and workout attire. Other options would be sun block, sunglasses and/or hat. We will have a break at Eagle Rock to explore that area so if you would like to bring a snack, this would be the best time to eat.

DESCRIPTION: This is a gorgeous hike! We will be surrounded by the canyon and the Santa Monica mountains. It is absolutely lush right now so you will not believe you are in southern California. Almost feels like you are in northern California. There is a lot of wildlife from birds to mule deer. The hike will start at Trippet Ranch and we will take the fire road up to Eagle Rock. After taking a break at Eagle Rock, we will head back to the ranch/parking lot on the Musch Trail.

RESTRICTIONS: No Dogs allowed on trail
