Saturday, November 10th to Sunday, November 11th, 2018
Where: The Alabama Hills, Lone Pine
We invite you to come join us for an overnight camping trip to experience one of California’s most stunning landscapes with your fellow USC postdocs. Beautiful rock formations, the chiseled peaks of the Sierra Nevada, and the solitude of the desert will serve as our backdrop to cook, eat, hike, rock climb, and have a good time! We’ll also have the opportunity to visit and learn from Manzanar National Historic Site, one of ten camps at which Japanese American citizens and resident Japanese aliens were incarcerated during World War II.
If you love exploring and history, you will not be disappointed. There are limited spots for this trip so RSVP NOW by emailing postdocs@usc.edu. Families are welcome.
