NPAW 2020 – How to Job Hunt during COVID-19

Please join the USC Postdoctoral Association and Scismic for a webinar on how to adapt your job hunt during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaker: Elizabeth Wu

Bio: Elizabeth is the cofounder of Scismic, the talent matching platform for the sciences that addresses inefficiencies in scientific recruiting and promotes inclusion in hiring. During her time as a life scientist in academia and industry, she witnessed the challenges that researchers face in finding a work environment that fits their professional skills and development needs. Leveraging her extensive experience in creating personal and professional development programs for community groups, she cofounded Scismic to address these challenges. In her role at Scismic, she has done extensive research on how recruiters and hiring managers evaluate candidates during CV screening and interviews. She previously worked as a Research Associate at Translate Bio, a biotech startup, and as a Lab Manager at Harvard University.

Scismic: https://scismic.com/

Scismic is built by scientists for ALL scientists. Scismic was started by 3 scientists and their tech and branding partner. The 3 scientists saw how scientist-to-job fit affects progress and innovation, and built Scismic to address the challenges that researchers face in finding the right job.
